Williams Compass Accountability is a public-interest project by William Lodge, built from lived experience.
People experiencing homelessness often have limited access to their own records, limited ability to challenge decisions, and limited visibility into how shelter access, Coordinated Entry, and housing pathways are handled on their behalf. These reports document publicly funded homelessness services — the records, the communications, and the questions that deserve answers. It is presented carefully: facts are separated from open questions, people are referred to by role where possible, and organizations are named only in their public, official capacity.
The purpose is accountability, transparency, and system improvement — not harassment. It begins in Colorado and is built to grow nationwide and worldwide, alongside the resource tools at Field Compass, Homeless Boulder, and Homeless Denver.
These reports are based on documents, records, research, and lived experience gathered by William Lodge. They are not legal advice. Any concerns described are presented as public-interest questions and requests for clarification, not as proven findings of wrongdoing. Nothing here should be read as stating that any individual or organization has committed a crime or engaged in fraud. If any person or organization believes something is inaccurate or incomplete, Williams Compass welcomes correction, clarification, or additional documentation.
If you represent an agency, shelter, public office, service provider, or community organization and believe any information here is incomplete or inaccurate, please provide documentation or clarification. The goal is transparency and accuracy, and responses will be reflected in good faith. This also applies to redaction requests, and to anyone with records or a case from their own community that belongs in these reports.
